The Ramones are among the founders of the punk rock movement and are one of the groups that most influenced this genre. The self-titled album is the first released by the band who had signed the summer of that year with Sire Records. Released in 1976, it was ranked number four on Mojo magazine’s list of Best Punk Albums and number one on the same list by Rolling Stone!
